Dr. Diana Foster is an innovative leader in her approach to the key elements of the site/CRO relationship. She has led Total Clinical Trial Management, a full service CRO, as a founder and CEO since its inception. Diana is a recognized expert in the intricacies of site management and an innovator in the use of strategic marketing and positioning tactics. She has designed and facilitated site management and patient recruitment trainings across the globe. While serving as President and Co-Owner of D. Anderson & Company, a full service patient recruitment provider, Diana led the organization through its evolution as a niche site management organization, Rheumatology Research International, to the status of premier patient recruitment organization. Her early tenure as head of an SMO gave her a unique understanding of how sites operate and what they need to reach enrollment goals. Her leadership in guiding TCTM has resulted in the company achieving 100% of its enrollment targets on time or early.
During her history in the clinical trials industry, Dr. Foster has been part owner of Metroplex Clinical Research Center, a multi-specialty clinical research site in Dallas, Texas that has completed more than 1,000 Phase I-IV studies. Over the past seven years, Diana has also been a consultant to the Society for Clinical Research Sites as their Vice President, Strategy and Development. In that role she is responsible for building relationships with industry that help amplify the voice of the clinical research site.
Over the last four years Diana has developed a special interest in diversity in clinical trials. In that capacity she has served as the lead and facilitator of the diversity awareness program for SCRS. She has published multiple papers on the topic including the most recent titled, “The Diversity Site Assessment Tool (DSAT), Reliability and Validity of the Industry Gold Standard for Establishing Investigator Site Ranking”. The DSAT is the only tool available today providing validated and reliable assessments of the site’s preparedness in diversity enrollment practices.
She received her Bachelors degree from the University of Nebraska, her Masters degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center and her Doctorate from Texas Woman’s University in research and statistics.
Over the past two decades, Diana has addressed audiences across five continents, published multiple papers and articles, and written five authoritative industry books. In addition, she has been a sought after speaker and given hundreds of presentations across the world.
